Michael Small
Executive Vice President and CFOMichael S. Small leads our finance team as the Chief Financial Officer, heads our business development and marketing efforts, and serves as a senior advisor on select client relationships. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and serves on the firm’s Account Advisory Review and Risk Management Committees. In addition, Michael helps evaluate private investments for our client families. No matter what role Michael is playing, he is always focused on helping clients and prospective clients define and achieve their financial goals for themselves and their families.
Prior to joining St. Louis Trust & Family Office, Michael spent three years with the J.P. Morgan Private Bank team in St. Louis. While there, Michael helped clients through dynamic planning, lending and investing. His other work experience includes eight years with a commercial real estate development and investment firm in Cincinnati, five years with the J.P. Morgan Investment Bank team in San Francisco and two years in public accounting with Deloitte’s New York practice. Michael earned a Bachelor in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from Emory University, where he also played varsity soccer.
Michael’s real estate investment experience, extensive corporate finance background and deep private banking knowledge uniquely position him to help existing and prospective clients of St. Louis Trust & Family Office.
Outside the office, Michael is the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Trustees for City Academy and is an assistant coach for the John Burroughs School boys varsity soccer team. Michael also enjoys participating in many sports including soccer, tennis and golf, but his favorite activity is spending time with his two daughters, Sabrina and Sadie.
